Arrival

How long to budget, by procedure
Plan your trip around the longer figure rather than the shorter. Recovery that runs slightly over is common; a fixed return flight that cannot be moved is a genuine problem.

Read this before booking anywhere
How to vet a clinic abroad — including us
Surgery abroad is safe when it is done properly and dangerous when it is not, and the difference is usually visible before you travel if you know what to ask. These are the questions we would want a member of our own family to put to any clinic.
- Ask for the operating surgeon's name and medical registration number, and verify it independently.
- Ask where the surgery is performed and whether that facility is accredited with intensive care on site.
- Ask whether a consultant anaesthetist is present throughout, or only on call.
- Ask exactly what the quote includes, and get it in writing before paying a deposit.
- Ask what happens, specifically, if you develop a complication after flying home.
- Be wary of any clinic that will not quote before you commit, applies time-limited discounts, or asks for payment into a personal account.
- Be wary of guaranteed outcomes. No honest surgeon offers one.
If any clinic — including this one — is evasive about the above, treat that as your answer.

Travelling for treatment
The practical questions international patients ask most, answered without the marketing.
Full FAQFive to six days for hair restoration, seven for eyelid surgery, ten for rhinoplasty, twelve to sixteen for major body contouring or a facelift. Every procedure page lists a recommended stay. We will not schedule surgery that has you flying home before it is safe.
Most nationalities do for treatment in India. We issue the invitation letter and treatment plan your application requires. Processing times vary considerably by country, so begin the application as soon as your plan is confirmed.
It is, once the surgical risk of the flight has passed — principally the thrombosis risk of prolonged immobility and the pressure effects on healing tissue. We assess fitness to fly before you book a return flight, and we ask you not to book a fixed non-changeable ticket.
We strongly recommend it for any procedure under general anaesthesia, and we require it for major body contouring, where you will need practical help for the first week. A companion also makes the consent discussion easier to absorb.
You must hold insurance that covers elective surgery abroad and medical repatriation. Standard travel policies commonly exclude planned surgery, so check the wording specifically rather than assuming. We will ask to see it before we operate.
Contact your surgeon directly on WhatsApp — you will have the number. For anything requiring hands-on care we help you find a local surgeon and release your operative notes and imaging immediately. Revision surgery with us carries no surgeon fee within the period stated for your procedure, though we cannot cover your travel.
Recovery is not a holiday, and patients who plan sightseeing around surgery generally regret it. If you want to travel in India, do it before your procedure rather than after — and tell us, so we can plan the dates around it.
Typically by international bank transfer in two instalments: a deposit to secure the date, and the balance on arrival. We will send full banking details on your invoice. We do not ask for payment through personal accounts or third parties, and you should treat any clinic that does as a warning sign.
