Frequently asked questions
The questions patients actually ask
Grouped by theme and answered without the marketing gloss. If yours is not here, ask us directly — we would rather answer it than have you guess.
Section 1
Choosing a procedure
Working out whether, what and when.
That is what the consultation is for. We examine you, discuss what is realistically achievable given your anatomy, and tell you plainly when a procedure is not indicated. A meaningful proportion of our consultations end with a recommendation against surgery — and that is a feature of how we practise, not a failure of the appointment.
Yes, and it is common. Patients frequently arrive asking for one thing and leave with a plan for another — asking for liposuction when a tummy tuck is what will actually work, or for a nose job when correcting the chin will balance the profile better. Come with your concern rather than a procedure name.
Most surgical procedures require completed physical growth, which generally means 18 and above. Otoplasty is routinely performed from age five. Some procedures have their own considerations — we do not perform hair transplants below 25 without careful discussion of lifetime donor planning.
Often, and it saves you one anaesthetic and one recovery. We cap combined operating time at around six hours and assess thrombosis risk carefully. Where a combination would exceed what is safe for you, we stage it — and we will tell you that rather than accommodate the request.
Regularly. The usual reasons are unrealistic expectations, an unsuitable anatomy for the requested procedure, active smoking, unstable weight, untreated mental health concerns including body dysmorphic disorder, or a medical risk profile that makes elective surgery unwise.
Section 2
Consultation and planning
What happens before anything is booked.
A full history, an examination, standardised photography and a discussion of options — including a less extensive operation, a staged plan, or doing nothing at all. Where useful we run 3D simulation so you can see a projected result. You leave with a written plan, a firm quote and the risks explained in full.
Video consultations for international patients are free. In-clinic consultations carry a fee that is credited in full against your procedure should you proceed.
Always. The surgeon who assesses you is the surgeon who operates and the surgeon who reviews you afterwards. We do not run a model where a consultant assesses and a junior operates.
As long as you need. We maintain a minimum cooling-off period of two weeks between consultation and surgery for all elective procedures, and we will not apply pressure or time-limited pricing to shorten it.
Yes, for patients who have consented to their images being shown. We can show you cases matched to your anatomy and requested procedure during consultation, including results that were technically good but where the patient wanted something different.
Section 3
Cost and payment
What things cost and what is included.
Surgeon fee, anaesthesia, theatre and facility charges, implants or grafts, compression garments, medication and a full year of follow-up. There is no separate invoice afterwards. Accommodation and flights are excluded — we help arrange them but do not bill for them.
Because complexity varies substantially between patients. A primary rhinoplasty and a secondary revision are different operations with different theatre times. The band shows the realistic range; your firm quote is issued after examination and does not then change.
Yes, through third-party medical finance partners for patients resident in India. Terms and eligibility are set by the finance provider, not by us. International patients typically pay by bank transfer in two instalments.
Purely cosmetic procedures are not covered by any insurer. Procedures with a documented functional indication — breast reduction for symptomatic macromastia, septoplasty for nasal obstruction, gynecomastia in some policies — are sometimes covered. We provide the clinical documentation for a claim; approval rests with your insurer.
Revision performed by us within the period stated on each procedure page carries no surgeon fee. Facility and anaesthesia costs still apply, as we cannot waive charges levied by the hospital.
Section 4
Surgery and safety
Where we operate, who is in the room, and what the risks are.
In NABH-accredited hospital facilities with full intensive-care backup on site. We do not perform general-anaesthetic surgery in an office-based setting, which is a meaningful safety distinction worth asking any clinic about.
A consultant anaesthetist, present for the whole procedure. They review you before surgery, and you can raise concerns about anaesthesia with them directly rather than through us.
Every procedure carries risk. Common to all surgery are bleeding, infection, scarring, anaesthetic reaction and thrombosis. Each procedure adds its own — nipple sensation change in breast surgery, nerve injury in facelift, fat embolism in gluteal grafting. Your consent discussion covers the specific risks of your procedure in detail, and we would rather you found that conversation sobering than reassuring.
Risk assessment before surgery, mechanical compression during it, early mobilisation on the evening of surgery, and chemical prophylaxis where indicated. For combined or long procedures this is one of the main determinants of whether we will operate at all.
Smoking substantially increases wound healing complications, and for some procedures — facelift, tummy tuck, brachioplasty — it raises the risk of tissue loss to a degree we consider unacceptable. We require complete cessation for at least four to six weeks either side of surgery and will postpone if you have not stopped.
Section 5
Travelling to us
For patients coming from outside India.
Five to six days for a hair transplant, seven to ten for eyelid surgery or rhinoplasty, twelve to sixteen for major body contouring. Every procedure page lists a recommended stay, and we will not schedule surgery that has you flying home before it is safe.
Most nationalities do for treatment in India. We issue the invitation letter and treatment plan your application will require. Processing times vary considerably by country, so start early.
We strongly recommend it for any procedure under general anaesthesia. For major body contouring we require a companion for the first week, as you will need practical help.
You have direct WhatsApp access to your surgeon and coordinator for a full year. For anything requiring hands-on care we help you find a local surgeon and share your operative notes and imaging immediately. We do not disappear once you have left the country.
Yes. Airport transfers are included, and our coordinator books accommodation at partner hotels near the clinic at negotiated rates. We do not take a commission on those bookings.
Section 6
Reviews and privacy
How we handle your data and your words.
Every review is read before publication. We check that the reviewer was a patient, that the review contains no identifying information about other people, and that it is not spam or abuse. We do not filter by sentiment — critical reviews are published as written.
The name you enter appears with your review. Many patients use a first name and initial, and that is fine. Your email address is used only to verify the submission and is never published or shared.
Yes, at any time and without giving a reason. Email us and we will unpublish it, usually the same working day.
Only with your explicit written consent, given separately from your surgical consent, and you can withdraw it at any time. Clinical photography is taken for every patient as part of the medical record; that is different from consent to publish.
Booking enquiries and reviews are stored on Cloudflare infrastructure and used only to respond to you and to run the clinic. We do not sell data or share it with advertisers. Full detail is in our privacy policy.
Still not answered?
Send it to us directly. Questions are answered by clinical staff, not by a chatbot or a sales team, usually within one working day.
Next step
Talk it through with a surgeon, not a salesperson.
Every consultation begins with an examination and an honest assessment of whether a procedure is right for you — including when the answer is that it is not. Video consultations are available worldwide.
