Aesthetic medicine has a structural conflict: the clinic is paid to operate. Everything below is an attempt to blunt that, and to make the incentives visible rather than hidden.
Who we are
Novelle Aesthetics is a 5-surgeon practice in Mumbai, performing aesthetic and reconstructive plastic surgery for patients in India and from 40+ countries. We have performed 11,000+ procedures over 14 years.
We have turned down repeated opportunities to open additional branches. A second location means a second set of theatres, a second standard, and a surgeon who cannot be in both. The constraint is deliberate: every patient is operated on by the consultant who assessed them, in a theatre our own team runs.
The practice is registered with the National Medical Commission of India, and every operating surgeon holds a postgraduate qualification in plastic surgery. We will give you any surgeon's registration number on request, and we would encourage you to check it — here and anywhere else you are considering.
Standards
These are specific and checkable rather than aspirational. If we fall short of any of them, tell us.
Nobody at Novelle is paid a commission on procedures booked. Our coordinators are salaried, and surgeons are not incentivised by volume. It removes the pressure that patients most often describe from consultations elsewhere.
Every procedure page carries an indicative band and states what it includes. Withholding price until a patient is emotionally committed is a sales technique, and we would rather you compared us openly.
A minimum of two weeks between consultation and elective surgery. No time-limited discounts, no pressure to decide in the room. If a decision would not survive a fortnight, it should not be made.
All general-anaesthetic surgery is performed in NABH-accredited hospitals with intensive care on site and a consultant anaesthetist present throughout. We do not operate under general anaesthesia in office-based settings.
Our before-and-after images use fixed lighting, fixed distance and standardised positioning. No flattering angle changes, no post-processing, no makeup added between the two shots.
Reviews submitted through this site are checked for authenticity and privacy, then published as written. We do not suppress critical reviews, and we do not solicit only from happy patients.

You will be told at consultation which of these surgeons is responsible for your care, and that does not change between consultation and theatre.

Focus: Facial aesthetic surgery, rhinoplasty, facelift
Trained in plastic surgery at a national institute of medical sciences with fellowship training in facial aesthetic surgery. Practises deep plane facelift and preservation rhinoplasty, and teaches both on the national fellowship circuit.

Senior Consultant
Focus: Body contouring, VASER liposuction, post-bariatric surgery
Specialises in high-definition body contouring and post-weight-loss reconstruction. Has performed over 2,600 body contouring procedures and leads our enhanced recovery protocol for combined operations.

Consultant
Focus: Breast surgery, augmentation-mastopexy, implant revision
Focuses exclusively on breast surgery, including a substantial revision and explant practice for patients treated elsewhere. Introduced measurement-led implant selection and 3D sizing simulation to the practice.

Focus: Post-weight-loss reconstruction, arm and thigh lift, scar revision
Focuses on body contouring after major weight loss, where skin excess is extensive and staging matters. Runs our combined-procedure planning clinic for patients needing more than one operation.

Focus: Hair restoration, FUE, facial hair transplantation
Performs FUE hair, beard and eyebrow transplantation with an emphasis on lifetime donor planning. Insists on concurrent medical therapy for male pattern loss rather than surgery alone.

Focus: Anaesthesia, enhanced recovery, perioperative safety
Reviews every patient before surgery and is present throughout each procedure. Designed our thromboprophylaxis and multimodal analgesia protocols for combined and long-duration operations.
Accreditation
Worth saying plainly
We are not the cheapest option in India, and we are not trying to be. Our theatre and anaesthesia standards cost money, and a twelve-month follow-up programme costs money. If price is your primary criterion, you will find lower quotes — and we would only ask that you check what those quotes include, and where the surgery is performed.
We are also not a same-week service. The cooling-off period is not negotiable, and neither is the requirement that you stop smoking before certain procedures. Patients occasionally go elsewhere over both, and we accept that.
Finally, we cannot promise outcomes. Surgery is a biological process performed on individual anatomy, and complications occur in every practice including ours. What we can promise is that we will tell you the realistic range of outcomes beforehand, and that we will stay with you if you land at the difficult end of it.
